How will UNT help me succeed?

Honors Students Studying

Making the transition

Orientation is your first step toward transitioning to UNT. At orientation you will receive academic advising, register for classes and interact with current students. Several other First-Year Experiences are available throughout the academic year to aid in your transition.

Incoming GTF Scholars and/or ECHS graduates are strongly encouraged to attend designated Freshman Orientation sessions that will have information and activities specifically designed to give you a jump-start on your transition to UNT.

Student support services

College can be tough, even with multiple credit hours under your belt, so UNT offers a wide variety of free or low cost programs designed to help you find success.

We're here to help you succeed. Services for students include:

Abundant internships

Internships provide invaluable training and a head start on your career. UNT’s nationally accredited Internship program provides students with paid, supervised positions related to their field of study, often for several semesters. Many students even receive permanent job offers after graduation.
